What is the School Governance Authority?

School Governance Authority (SGA) is a body made up of principal, parents, teachers and community members charged with the responsibility for providing input, making recommendations and rendering decisions regarding various aspects of the instructional program of the school and the school's operational schema.

SGA Meetings

FY 18 Proposed Calendar

 The SGA meets a minimum of 10 times a year. This year’s schedule is:  4:00 – 5:00 on the following dates:

October 30th, 2018
November 29th, 2018
January 31st, 2019
February 27th, 2019
March 27th, 2019
April 24th, 2019
May 29th, 2019
June 26h, 2019

                                                                                        

The SGA may also meet quarterly for training with the other schools’ SGAs. The training schedule for these meetings has not yet been determined by the district office.

 The chair of the SGA and the principal also attend two system level meetings a year.  The schedule for these meetings has not yet been determined by the district office.
